"National Association of Woodworkers" Woodskills Symposium. Hawkes Bay September 2007
Every two years, the New Zealand National Association of Woodworkers Support and arrange a Symposium in conjunction with a Host Club and this year it was Hawkes Bay's turn, and what an event.
No less than 9 Overseas and 8 local demonstrators wow'ed the 150 Symposium delegates in a wide ranging feast of woodworking at its best.
From scroll sawing to multi centre turning, Box making joinery to long stemmed goblets and everything in between, there was something to keep everyone occupied for the 10 rotations.
Based at Lindisfarne College in the beautiful Hawkes Bay, one of New Zealand's key wine growing areas and a place with the friendliest people on earth, this was an event not to miss.
